Argentina will drop Manchester City star Sergio Aguero as the team prepare to face the Super Eagles in a make or break clash at the 2018 World Cup in Russia on Tuesday.
Nigeria will face the South Americans hoping to avoid a loss in the Group D clash.
According to Daily Mail UK, Aguero is one of several players at loggerheads with head coach Jorge Sampaoli after the team’s 1-1 draw against Iceland and a 3-0 loss to Croatia.
Further reports show that the players approached Argentine Football Association president Claudio Tapia asking that Sampaoli be either sacked or give them a voice in team selection.
With the development, Aguero could be left on the bench for the clash with Nigeria as Sampaoli won his battle to remain as manager in Russia.
The Olympic gold medalist scored in his side’s 1-1 draw with Iceland but was substituted in the 3-0 mauling by Croatia.
Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuian will likely replace Aguero as Willy Caballero gives way for Franco Armani.

Also, former Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria and Ever Banega also come in, with Marcos Acuna and Enzo Perez dropping out.
