F9' Teaser: 9th' Fast & Furious ' Movie Finds Vin Diesel Working Instead of A Car On A Tractor. Just motion pictures. That's the number of movies in the series "Fast & Furious" That's the same number of movies from Skywalker Saga.
That's one more than the entire movie franchise for' Harry Potter.' And it's eight more than Kathryn Bigelow's only "Point Break" movie that was ripped off to kickstart this' Quick' series, famously. Yet, unlike "Star Wars," "Harry Potter" and, obviously, "Point Break," you can say the Fast Saga is as good as ever, as we approach the release of "F9" (yes, the official title).
And as seen in the minute-long tease for the upcoming trailer (dropping Super Bowl weekend), we see that Dominic Toretto of Vin Diesel has come a long way as a thief / racecar driver since his days. Dom has different priorities with a child, for example working on a tractor motor, not a Japanese souped-up vehicle.
But the teaser's end suggests something very dark that could happen to Dom and his family, signaling a personal story in that franchise's ninth film.
Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Ludacris, Michael Rooker, Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron have joined Diesel in the cast for "F9." That is the cast. You may however notice two big names missing from that roster—Dwayne
Johnson and Jason Statham on "The Rock." Instead of joining "F9," Johnson and Statham's duo actually teamed up for "Hobbs & Shaw" last year, and so will not be featured in the new "Fast" movie.
It'll be fascinating to see if those guys ' absence has any impact on "F9." Obviously, The Rock's introduction to the series was a shot in the arm that propelled the whole' Fast' world to become the box office behemoth it is today.
"F9"-FAST AND FURIOUS 9 is expected to arrive on May 22 in theatres.
