Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ)Osun State Council, has felicitated with members on the occasion of this year Easter celebration and enjoin them to pray to God to end the Coronavirus global pandemic.
A release jointly signed by the Chairman of the state council, Comrade Kehinde Ayantunji and the Secretary ,Bukola Elufadejin urged members to seize this auspicious occasion to pray unto God for peace and tranquility in all the states in Nigeria in particular and the entire world ,especially during the upsurge of coronavirus pandemic ravaging the universe.
The statement also charged all Christian faithfuls to reflect the spirit of humility and love which Jesus Christ represented in their daily activities.
Journalists are therefore called upon to always abide by government directives and take precautionary measures to ensure safety against deadly infectious coronavirus.
While commending Christians on a low key celebration of Easter this year, Christians are encouraged to accept this moment as part of their own sacrifice for a better Nigeria.
