The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Eyitayo Jegede, emerged victorious in his polling division.
The Nation estimates that it voted 220 to beat the APC's Akeredolu, who scored 60, and Agboola, who scored seven votes.
Jegede votes in Unit 009, Ward 2, Akure LG, located within Akure Cathedral, Sacred Heart Primary School.
Jegede polled 158 votes in the second unit in the primary school to beat the APC candidate who polled 43 and ZLP candidate Ajayi Agboola who polled four votes.
