Part of our preparation to deliver a credible local government election is the setting up of ICT to engage, sensitise electorate on election related matters ahead of the coming February 2025 local government election in the state.
The declaration was made by the Chairman of Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC), Hon. Hassim Abioye while featuring as the guest during the 5th edition of the Monthly Media Parley of the Osun Online Publishers Association held at Insight Office on Monday.
While responding to question from DaOptimistic Info correspondent, Abioye said there was no IT instruments when his team came onboard which has been settled.
"When we came onboard, there was no IT instruments in the commission, we have been able to set up ICT for the commission and very soon we will unviel our social media handles"
"So far so good we don't have any issues with ICT and we don't envisage to have any" He added.
He noted that they have started with the inauguration of Electoral Officers and Verification Committee and the calibre of people brought on board, and will still be bright on board would show that definitely the process is heading for the good.
He commended the security Operatives in the state, for cooperation and partnership in the process so far.
He further said that the commission is seeking cooperation from stakeholders and the electorates while promising they will deliver an election the state will be proud of, anytime any day.
